Lazy..Again

Basketweave scarf. I'm in love with this brown. So yummy looking! I do apologize for not posting more these days.
I just really have been lazy. More so than usual, I finished a beautiful
pair of fingerless gloves I'll post soon as I get around to snapping a picture.
Much like the other projects I need to put up on here.
Hooky time is just far more appealing then snapping pictures.
I have new quilting clothe, it's so springy and happy.
I've already cut it up into a quilt, now it just needs the tender love
of a needle and thread.
My Kitten is intrigued by my hooking, she can't figured why
I'd want to hook instead of pet her, I mean..Really!
She also felt left out, because I had a cookie and coffee. Not pleased about
being left out, she sneaked a sip of my coffee. I reaaally don't think she enjoyed it.
Tehehe!
I'll be gone for four days, vacationing time with Thais for the new year.
Should be interesting! I'm sure to have plenty pictures when I return.
Until then, Happy New year

Christmas and carolers

Christmas has come and past.
It was fun and relaxing.
Weird to be warm instead of freezing.
Pancakes with cinnomon apples
Coffee and Eddie Izzard afterwards.
Carolers at 1 in the morning.
Lovely holiday

Monks,English, and long bus rides

Just a brief update.
Taught English camps over the weekend.
Plural..
No pictures I'm sorry, I forgot to take some. I had a lovely experience yesterday morning. It had nothing to do with teaching or anything. I had woken up early, around seven, for no real reason other than the need to crochet. So I snooped around our hotel area and found free coffee! The Thais all laughed and smiled when they realized I could speak Thai. But moving on, I found a little wooden table by a fish pond. Complete with little wooden benches, The sun had just come up and warmed the wood. I sat on down and crocheted. I couldn't've been happier:] I felt like a little solar panel soaking up energy from the sun

Quick Peak

Just a peak at one of my friend's gifts.
I was going to post this picture sooner.
But, I found out she reads my blog.
Good Thing I didn't!
Korat this weekend, don't really want to go. I have so much to work on, and per usual, I haven't done anything for two days. I'd love some inspiration, post what inspires you out of laziness in the comments!

Workouts,Sauce, and Patterns

Just a peak at someones gift..

Leftovers have become my favorite lunches.
Working out with the entire gym staff is..Intimidating
Untill they huff and puff like humans!
Then it becomes a joking and fun workout.
Followed my first pattern.
Terrifying!
Supposedly, following patterns is a safe way to create things. I found it scary after not following rules for so long. I was so scared to mess up at every step. And measuring?! Who does that?!
I made spaghetti sauce, delicious! Nothing beats a late dinner of a comfort food like spaghetti after a busy day. Fudge to top it off, did I mention my dad nearly bit me when I offered to take the fudge to my dearest Olivia's. He nearly pounced on me, claiming it'd be fine over the weekend while we're gone. I felt proud for making a dessert Daddy is possessive of.

Snowflake chili

A warm pot of chili was on the menu today.

My typical snack, delicious and nutritious!
Left over soup and crafty blogs makes for a cozy afternoon

Today was a productively lazy day. I'm not entirely sure how those go together, but they did.
We have a snowman despite the 60 degree weather we have. He's chilling on our door way, along with snowflakes. I'll show you them tomorrow, not to mention the large star leading the way to the stable in our living room. Hannah's present is very nearly done, I can't wait to show you her lovely gift after christmas!

Market and Crooks!

This morning has been very productive.
I woke up so very early and headed down to the market
Just to buy all sorts of food
to pop into a crock pot.
If you wish for the recipe, let me know.
These are the veggies in the pot
I was entirely to excited about the crust on this
Rainbow of veggies all waiting to jump in the pot
What's more beautiful then fresh veggies!

Christmas time

Home at last.
It's so nice to cozy up under a blanket
and resettle myself back in my little wooden room.
I love home.

Promised photos

Does my life consist of eating?
You could say that:D

Cappuchino with a side of Home.

I'll have pictures for you later.
Daddy and I went to Outback last night.
I felt like I had walked into the one back home.
I had Thunder from Down under.
It was delicious.

I haven't been up to a whole lot these past few days. Or I suppose, it's been one since I last post. Feels like a lot longer! I did run into a fan of my blog over lunch. It's always flattering to know someone actually reads my ramblings on life.
Don't forget to Christmas shop, after all it is just around the corner. I can't wait to show you the things I've made. I'm quite in love with a few of them. Wishing you frosty mornings and hot drinks.

Saturday 5 December 2009

Espresso Biscotti

Twinkling Christmas Trees.
Airport annoucments
Akon singing
and hot coffee.

This is what my morning consists of. Waiting patiently for Daddy to arrive in the KLIA airport. Because we are an international family. I switched my money from Rupia to Ringet, using the money in my wallet. Because, I am an international girl. The plane touched down and I switched my phone card from Indonesian to Thai. Because, I am an international traveler. I can say 'Thank you' in six different languages. Why? Because..I am an International Seventeen year old.

Last day in Indonesia

The last few days have been peaceful.
The little owl is part of a Christmas project.
I can't tell you what it is.
But it's going to be cute!
I've been sick with a fever.
Elsa's down with coughing.
and we've been so lazy.

Elsa and I have been extra lazy these past few days due to being sick. But that doesn't mean we've been totally useless. I've finished four Christmas projects! Which, I will show you after the Holidays. Just in case someone reads this blog and sneaks a peak!

Retreat and homecoming

Home sweet Home.
Early mornings and fun games
Crazy yarn and learning to knit.
Laughing and noodles.

The past few days have been busy to say the least. The weekend Nav retreat turned out to be fun. The lessons taught I had learned already, due to having a Nav Dad. But, None the less I did learn a few things. The mountain weather was freezing, but luckily I packed all my winter-y stuff. Thank God for Crocheting, or I'd have been frozen.

But nothing was sweeter than coming back to my Indonesian family. Little Ken ran up to my and clung to my leg as I moved around the kitchen. Indarto and Erna took all of us to yummy noodles for dinner. We had so many laughs as we joked and teased like a big family. I certainly will miss them when I go back to Thailand.

Happy things: New yarn and lots of it. Finished another scarf.
Sad things: I leave so soon
Funny things: More people running from the 'bulee'

Total exhaustion

Today is a tired day.
The sort you want to curl up and not move.
Mainly due to catching the flu.
But!
I made chicken Parmesan for everyone.
And then proceeded to plop onto a couch and crochet.

Last night was enjoyable, I went to Mister Agung's (Sorry if I mispelt your name!) and had dinner with his family. A mini Thanksgiving! They had made so many kinds of food for me. Lovely, lovely people. Tomorrow I am being sent off on a retreat. Into the mountains, praay I don't die of the cold or get more sick. In other news. I am feeling insanely Christmas-y and due to this I'm linking you to a fabulous Christmads Craft so go check it out. She does a wonderful blog full of lovely crafts.
Happy things: Chicken Parm turned out yummy
Sad things: Sick, sick sick,

Monday 23 November 2009

Crocheting again and sharing.

Washing, Hanging, and Ironing.
Organizing, crocheting, and dancing.
Defineitly feeling like a housewife.

Today has been enjoyable so far. I've been catching up on the little odd bits I needed to do. Such as cleaning up my clothes! No one wants to smell like a suitcase. At least..No one that I know of. I;ve got this massive house to myself. Suprisingly enough, it's peaceful to be in it for a few hours and act like i own the place..Or at least the washing machine.. Hopefully I'll be seeing New Moon later on today. I'm quite excited to see it..I'm an ashamed Twi Fan..Sadly I didn't end up seeing New Moon. It still hasn't come out. Though it promised to come out last Friday..I'm annoyed with the theaters for lying continuously to us. Later that evening I shared my life with the students who came to study and see the 'Buleea' foreigner. It is getting much easier to talk to large groups of people about my life.
Happy things; Sunny and warm day. I was called an Angel and a miracle:]
Sad things: The spinner went on strike. So I had to wring the clothes out.
Funny things: Kenzie, the little boy who lives in this house, came running up to me shouting 'GOOOD MORNINGGG' So cute.
(pictures of my latest project)

Tears and smiles

Professors,Students, and Coffee.

Last night was encouraging and fun. I was introduced to a few girl students and joined their bible study. Boy was I thankful for Daddy's training me to be ready on the spot. Since, After the intoductions, I was told I had a half an hour to share. Suprised and slightly disgruntled I began to share on my life story. Basically a short version of Thailand,Mom, and family struggles and stories.
I had them all tearing up and a few crying. I felt terrible, it's simple little life brings tears to others eyes. I told them how our ministery works, what Dad and I do, and so on. After the sniffles passed they were encourged and excited to try and live life in a new manner. I felt very blessed to have been able to encourage them.
After dinner and more bible discussion we parted ways.

Things that made me Chuckle: Passport control " You're going to Bandung?" Me" Yes, to visit friends" PC " What? You have friends in Bandung? Really? Wow" - The fasinaction with my womanly talents of cooking and crochet - The fact I'm the only white person I've seen in two days.

Happy things: I seem to be considered a 'weird' foriegner because I eat everything, shower out of a bucket, and sleep in small spaces without issue.
Sad things: I think I slightly scare the shy girl who is with me today. Sigh, I swear, I don't bite

Korban Kopi( Coffee Victim)

New proffessor friends
Crocheted hat
Laughs and headaches
Meat after four months

Indonesia is quite fun, it's been whirlwind so far. But, I'm enjoying myself hugely.
I'm with an Indonesian at the moment, She took me home to her town for three days.
So far I've met with her Professors and student friends of her. Everyone here seems to be pretty open to having a random white girl living in their home for a night or two.
Food is not important here like it is in Thailand. We eat every now and then, and never snack. So weird compare to Thailand where you never stop eating. Coffee's here!
Gotta run.

Sunday 15 November 2009

Sucess!

Finally! After long hours and sore fingers
Daddy's quilt is done in time for Christmas.
Infact, with lots of time to spare.
It's a simple layout, as you can see.
But, I like the little details.
In the center it says 'Home is where your pillow it'
How true that is for travelers like us!
And on each side of the center, the familes names
Hope you like it!

Chocolate in pasta?!

Chocolate in pasta,
Stoup recipe
Patriot movie
Golfing man on a motorcycle
Pillowcase
!

Stoup recipe:

Stoupity soup

Makes enough for 4

2 regular potatoes. medium sized diced.(not perfectly diced just a rough chop)
1 yellow onion rough chopped
1 can stewed whole tomatoes. Rough chopped(just the tomatoes not the juice!)
1 big carrot rough chopped
2 cloves of garlic diced(Optional)
1tbs evoo(Extra virgin olive oil)
2-3 cups of chicken stock(You can buy this in the supermarket. Find a low sodium one. Also, depending on the size of your veggies it can take up to 3 cups. Basically just be sure all veggies are covered with the stock)
2 tsp thyme
2 tsp dry basil(fresh works too, but if you use fresh, add it at the very end before you serve)
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp of cajun

In your soup pan: Pour in the evoo, make sure it covers the bottom of the pan. Just lightly, so nothing sticks. Add in the potatoes, salt and pepper them. Then add in the rest of the veggies! Add in the rosemary and italian seasoning. Mix a mix it with a spoon. Pop in the garlic if your using it. Let it cook for about 5-7 mins. This softens the veggies and gives them a nice flavor before cooking in the soup. Do this over medium to low heat. Don't burn it:]

In your Soup Pan:
Pour in the chicken stock, rest of the spices, and cover with a lid. Keeping the lid a little bit off to release steam and keep from bubbling over. Bring the soup up to a bubble(Boil) them lower it down to low heat. Let it cook for about 20-30 mins depending on how your rough chop is. But, if your unsure just poke the carrots with a fork. They should have a little body to it. Not all squishy, unless you like squishy carrots.

Now, if you like meat. Feel free to pop in chick diced when you cook the veggies. Just cook the chicken untill nearly done before adding the veggies. Salt n pepper it if you do add it.
Noodles are a good addition too. Elbow or any little pasta you like. If you do this, just add a 1/2 cup extra of chicken stock.

Also, as a side note. I usually just eyeball spices, so if it isn't flavorful enough just add pinches of the spices till you are pleased with it:] It's all about fun in the kitchen Enjoy!
Serve steamy hot with your favortie bread for dippin

Chocosalmic!

makes enough for one

1 cup cooked ziti
1/4 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup brocoli
1 clove of garlic, crushed.
1 tbs evoo
1 tsp cocoa or 90% chocolate bar
1 2 tsp balsamic vinegar (Good quality please! none of that tangy icky stuff)
1/2 tsp dried basil
salt and pepper

Pretty simple. Throw everything into a skillet, cook over low heat for about 10 mins serve:]

Ocean days and skies on fire

Fire lit skies and hot air balloons

I love days like today. They remind me of being down at the Cape, sitting out on Grandma's porch. Letting the gentle breeze caress my skin with it's warm fingers. The sun peaking in between the leaves, wondering what your up to. Sewing to the summery sounds of birds and children playing. It's days like these you wish would go on forever.

Day one Of my Thai vacation

Caterpillars and long drives.
Beautiful mountains and hot springs.
Little houses on the mountain side.
And long evenings laughing with friends.

Twelve Thais and one foreigner. It's been exciting only understanding 70% of what's going on. Surprisingly enough, I'm very relaxed. My trip started with lunch at the Sirilana National Park. A place you can rent a house boat or sit beside the huge lake and have lunch. The latter is what we did. Lunch was an interesting affair, my diet of only seafood and veggies was a topic of major intrigue. It went something like this " Can you eat chicken?" Me. "No, only seafood or vegetables" Them." Shrimp?" M." Yes, and fish too." T." Pork?" M" No, I don't eat meat." And so on and so forth.
I'm beginging to be accepted by the group. They realize I can speak Thai, I just chose not to speak unless spoken too. But, they've begun to see..Even though I am white, I don't bite.
We arrived at the second highest mountain in Thailand around 5. And proceeded to take tens upon hundreds of pictures. This, I soon was to find out, is what vacation means.
After settling into our little houses we regrouped and had a delicious dinner or northern Thai food. Yet again, my diet was the topic of interest. It seems they expect it to change over a few hours. We hung around the restaurant until it closed then moved into one of the houses. Sitting around late into the night chatting and snacking on caterpillars..Fried and dried. Yum..Yum..

Kawasaki and Smiles

Gym and a Kawasaki Ninja
Smiling Pizza boy and Olivia
Carrot cake and Columbus day
Laughs and Flat tires

Today I was hard at work with my pillow.Mostly because I stayed up far too late last night. But, once I did get up and out I had a few fun interactions with Thais. I had lunch at the market, my usual haunt when I don't feel like eating expensively. My dear market lady has figured out I'm vegetarian and takes it upon herself to find foods I can eat. Today, she made a delicious concoction and was so happy I liked it. It's quite cute seeing her and her..Husband? fussing over me and my food. Makes me feel well loved!
Then later on I went to the gym and felt even more loved as my gym Thai told me I looked pretty and he thought I'd gone home to America. And was majorly excited about me being back.
Happy things: I talked to the owner of the Ninja, he said I could ride it sometime! visited Pizza boy at Duke's.
Sad things: Daddy got a flat tire
Things that made me Chuckle: Miley and Mandy show

Shuttle buses,Pilots, and Chai's

No summary this morning

I like my Chai tea latte's. I wish Thailand had more of them. Sadly they haven't discovered the goodness of chais. I'm sitting in the Airport, hating early mornings. Due to the shuttle bus we had to be at the airport at 5 instead of 6. Granted, that early in the morning, an hour doesn't make much difference. But, It surely does when it comes to the amount of delicious sleep you get.
In any case, I am miserably tired.
Happy things: Chai tea Latte
Sad things: Serious lacking in sleep
Things that made me chuckle: Sleeping airport inhabitants

Saturday 17 October 2009

Earthquakes and Overly Eager Men

Earthquake and a Monkey.
Muslim bar girls and Meat.
Coconut water and lots of Leering men.

No pictures again and still haven't found wi-fi. Nothing much has happened since yesterday's post. I experienced an earthquake, I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out. I'm worried about my sanity, who doesn't notice an earthquake!
Men here are far to friendly, it's disturbs me. Flattering it may be, but stares can get on my nerves. Afterall, they have seen a girl before..Maybe the fact they can see my hair makes me stare worthy.

Happy things: No more meetings! Shopping later
Sad things: We leave tomorrow. Will not get to see John again for a long time
Things that made mu chuckle: Seeing a monkey in someone's arms. Muslim bar girls looking scandelous..Showing no skin, but sparkling!

Friday 16 October 2009

Freezing with the Geckos

Cold weather and late night cappuccinos.
Air Force bases and Air Asia.
Long meetings and odd Americans.
Soft beds and gas heated water.
Odd.

No pictures today, I'm sorry. I'm not on my laptop but a desktop. I can't even remember the last time I had to sit at a desk and use a none flat keyboard. Anyways, I'm in Indonesia! It reminds me so much of Missouri in India. All hills, tiny roads, and lots of houses squashed on top of each other.
I've noticed something on this trip. White people are beginning to all look the same to me. I can't ever remember names or differentiate between them. It's weird, I also don't feel the need to speak to them. I think..This is bad!

Happy things: I had coffee with John Ridgeway last night. He specially invited Dad and I. And was curious about my life. I felt special.
Sad things: I've spent the last two days in meetings.
Things that made me chuckle: Landing at an Air force base. Walking across the runway. Going through security, customs, passport control, getting a visa, and baggage claim in a room. Yes..One room.
p.s I lied, I haven't gotten the pictures up yet Will do it soon..Maybe

The Ocean and the Chicken

Warning this is a long blogpost

Chicken dances and Jellyfish impressions.
Snacks,coffee, and late night meals.
Dancing on bus, between buses, while shopping, and on the dance floor.
Girls shouting for me and Boys following me.
Beautiful sunsets and nighttime swimming.
Lovely Three days.

Where to even begin? For the past few days I was attending a English Camp. Under the pretense of being a teacher. I think I had as much fun as the kids did. From the many meals we ate together to the Dead Chicken Dance. It's hard to summarize all the experiences. So, I will try and highlight my favorites.

Dad and I taught 'In the Fridge' and 'Darts.' But, we really just played with the kids. Thank God for our speaking abilities! It really allowed us to bond with the kids and get to know them faster then the rest. I soon developed a small group of kids who followed me around or vice versa. It started out with about 4 girls and 2 boys. But, by the end of today, it grew to about 25+ kids following or dancing with me. I felt so loved! We had crazy dance parties, last night and on the bus. Unlike America your allowed to club dance on the bus. The bus driver became out DJ and nearly all the students on my bus were dancing, shouting, and having a grand time. I certainly got a workout while swimming. I was the center of a circle, the goal was to try and 'tag' me. Whew, After playing that for half an hour it switched to Boan bon! Or Tugboat. Which means, Latch onto 'Mata!' and have me pull them around. I think at one time I had about 10 girls all holding onto each other and me.
The Teacher's preformance was humerous and the kids were just adorable. After all, Thailand is a preforming culture. So everyone had to do a skit/dance/song. Including 'The Foreigners.'
I'll have more pictures on Facebook. So, go check them out.
Happy things: Making new Thai little friends
Sad things: As all camps do, it ended:[
Things that made me chuckle: Dancing between buses..Don't ask:]

Sunday 11 October 2009

Lazy mornings and Funny Faces.

No photos today.
Late breakfast and a odd alien movie.
French panni and a Thai service.
Little children and funny faces.
Lastly an adventure in Big C.

Today was pretty laid back. I enjoyed the begining of the day before meeting up with the Australians again. Thai church was cute and awkward. Per usual it was take pictures with the Foreigners! Luckily I could speak Thai and made friend with children. It's funny being able to communicate with them. I'm right at their level vocab wise.
Things that made me chuckle: Australians and bantering with them. I can hold my own. Daddy's white people phobia.
Happy things: I had delicious somtum tonight!
Sad things: Leaving our lovely hotel to live with someone.

Saturday 10 October 2009

Eaten by Fish..Literally

Toast and Tea to start.
Taxis and Australians.
Bonding with a Thai due to cooking.
Coffee with strangers through the glass.
And ended with Fish eating our feet.
Not to mention getting lost in the rain.
Dad and I met up with the Aussies I mentioned yesterday. Said our hellos before all piling into a local taxi called a Song Tow. Which is basically a pick up with two benches and a roof. Anyways, we were herded over to the Community center, aka a cement square with a roof over it. A small mass of children ranging from one-sixteen years old came over to see what the white herd was doing as their community center. After getting seeing we didn't bite they warmed up quickly, as children do, and began playing games with us.After enjoying games and a delicious lunch provided by a sweet Thai woman; dad and I parted ways with the Aussies.

Promptly finding a place to get a two hour massage. After all, it's been nearly a week since we last had a massage..Ok maybe three days. Still! Enjoying a relaxing nap and waking feeling like new. It's a wonderful thing, waking up after a massage, you just feel like you could take on the world; or a coffee shop in our case.

Then to finish our day off we tried out the newest fad in Thailand, Fish Spa. You read right, a Fish Spa. Basically you sit on the benches near a pool of little bitty fish, pop your feet in and wait. The Fishies come and suck off your dead skin, gross right? Actually, after getting over the ticklish feeling and gross feeling of seeing fishies nibbling you, it's very enjoyable.

Things that made me chuckle: Fish eating my toes. Fish eating my legs. Fish in general watching me. Loosing the MRT(Underground train) siting next to strangers while having coffee. Having only a glass separating us.
Happy things: Two hour massage. Two hour nap during two hour massage. Bonding with the Thai woman over cooking.
Sad things: Seeing how lucky I am while others are struggling to make it through the day.
Cheers!

Goodness today was a interesting day. Exciting, tiring, relaxing, and fun. Really, all things that make up an all together enjoyable day.

Living on the Wrong Side of the Tracks

Irish breakfast and British scandals.
Australian tourists and traffic.
More traffic and Arabic food.
Crocheting and friends.

Today began far to early for my personal liking. Our bus from Chiang Mai to Bangkok arrived at the hour of Seven. But, for some reason, the Bus personal woke us up at five-thirty. Luckily, due to super dark sunglasses, I was able to slip back into a sleeping state of being.
Daddy and I arrived to our lovely organic and natural hotel room. Cleaned up and headed out for a bite to eat before dealing with a mass of Australians. We needed a hardy Irish breakfast and our fill of English Daily news. Before gathering our wits and courage we munched on our Irish Soda bread. And chit chatted awhile about the random tidbits we stumbled across in the paper.
Dad and I spent the day doing orientation and helping the Australians understand what we planned on doing at the English camp. Orientations are long and dull after the sixth time. But, it is a must when dealing with newbies in Thailand. But, the saving grace was getting to play with and teach Thai children. Which is always enjoyable!

Happy things: Made it to Bangkok alive. Ate delicious Nan and Eggplant Marsla. Did Yoga with Chaz.
Sad things: None today!
Things that made me Chuckle: " Does the King have a palace?" dad turns to me and whispers "One has to remember, when your dealing with a tourist. No question is stupid" I reply " Um..What King doesn't have a palace?" Watching Daddy and a small Thai do Muay Thai.
Stay Tuned for Further Tourist and English nonesense!

Embroidery,Scissors, and Cola

Today was a uneventful day.
Decided on a pattern for Daddy's quilt.
Started the embroidery for it.
Drank two Cola's due to being hot.
Smiled at my nails.
And made a trip to the Post Office.

Off to Bangkok tonight, no fun involved there. I truly dislike going to Bangkok, it's a crazy city.
Smelly, noisy, and polluted. I'll be teaching English to school children. So, we'll see how that goes. I hope to have internet so I can continue to blog.
I felt much like an old lady today, I spent most of it curled up on my bed..Embroidering.
Amusing things: I freaked out at a poor lizard who I thought was rat. He informed me He wasn't. Just colored like one. Shared a laugh with the postman at a silly foreigner.
Happy things: The pattern for Daddy's quilt is so pretty. Or should I say Handsome?
Sad things: Bangkok for the next 6 days.
P.s A great link for Embroidery stitches

Started off with a roach!

Today started with a cockroach attacking.
A market trip had me spending to much.
Hard work at the gym topped with
a delicious dinner.
Lovely really.

Today was a good day all around. I'm happy to have had three good days in a row. I'm bound for one to be bad. Can't hold this happy streak for too long. Wouldn't be healthy..
I bought a bunch of fabric for Daddy's Christmas present quilt. I can't wait to start working on it. I love the colors and fabric I chose. Hopefully he likes it too! You can kind of peak at the fabric in my pictures:]
Dinner with friends was enjoyable and filling! I love Blah Kem Kanat! It's a thai vegetable and fish dish. One of my favorites with rice!
The downer to my day was being stalked by a nasty Roach while making breakfast. Really, he should know better than to stalk a recently woken person!

Things that made me Chuckle: A thai pretending to look Japanese at the gym. Two Thai's hanging off a really strong Thai's arms. Yes, everyone was full grown.
Happy things: New fabric! New nail polish!
Sad things: We leave our little home tomorrow for icky Bangkok.

Late night projects

My brother fixed my blog.
Added a Frog
And a waterfall from Thailand.
I made a neck pillow to travel with.
Complete with strap to attach it to my bag.
Goodnight

Cookie subconscious

I had a fairly decent day.
Daddy came home, bearing gifts for me.
He must have been feeling sentimental.
Cookies and cakes were my choice of the day.

All around I had a pleasant day. Beginning with lessons and ending with tea, cookie, and icecream.
Tomorrow I will cast out the cookie and cake I had at the gym. Banning them from my ever soft middle. It's highly annoying at times being curvaceous, but typically I thank God and my mother's genes.
Things that made me chuckle: Listening to PRi: selected shorts, while getting a massage. Watching my cat attack a baby gecko..And lose. Listening to Pi Ang tell me about how she's a rebel and puts her feet up on the table when she's home alone.
Sad things: I'm money-less. I miss my family in the U.S.
Happy Things: I received two presents and Daddy came home!

Relax Land

Today was a relaxing day.
Spent with dear Olivia by the pool.
Smoothies and chitchat shared by two friends.
Much like two old ladies would we talked about our lives and friends.
Sadly, as all days do, it came to an end.

Amusing things: Tonight as I drove home I noticed a man running for his life across the crosswalk.
My cat stalked me as if I was prey while I ate my yogurt. She loves Blueberry yogurt lids.

Happy things: Daddy comes home tomorrow. I miss him

Begining with the frog

Today marks many interesting happenings.
First and foremost.
I felt the urge to begin a blog.
I swam at my gym and found a frog had joined me from the river.
Thus the title.
Second I discovered two things.
I don't need a man who I make pay attention to me.
And, I'm already well liked, why add someone who doesn't care?
Third.
Thai's love teasing people.

Let me explain a little. My day started out normal aside from this weird sense I should really join the blogging world. Unexplained and unbidden it jumped into my mind' Oh this would be fun to write in a blog post.' Such thoughts entered and exited my mind throughout the day.

I dragged myself to the gym, worked out far to long. Drooled after a bike whom an older man owned. Why is it the old men who own the lovely bikes? Oh, That's right. So, they get chicks. Anyways, Jumped into the pool swam a few laps before I saw something..In the water swimming near my foot. Freezing on the spot then swimming rapidly to the edge of the pool and heaving myself out. I glared at a black, brown, and white frog who'd interrupted my swim. He decided to swim right under the ledge I was perched on and look at me. I stayed in my horrified, though slightly amused, state. Until one of the staff came out to ask why I was perching on the ledge. I pointed at the frog and mumbled something in Thai about it being very alive.

After this episode I headed to The Duke's. A restaurant I frequent weekly, I had plunged into a mellow mood. I felt very unloved and alone. A pretty typical feeling around nighttime for me. I shuffled into the seat the motioned me.Being questioned 'Are you alone tonight? Will anyone be joining you?' resisting the urge to smack the hostess for rubbing it in I smiled politely' Yes I'm alone.'

Ordering and settling in to listen to PRI: a wonderful short stories Podcast. That's free and can be found on Itunes, do run and check it out. I was startled out of my little world as the boy, or man I'm not sure what he qualifies as, handed me my dinner. I looked up and recognized him as the pizza maker. He is supposed to be behind the counter downstairs tending to the wood stove which cooks his pizza's. He smiled cheekily at me as His littler chef hat wobbled and he walked back down to his station. Oddly enough he continued to serve me throughout my meal. I can imagine from the teasing he received from the staff while I was there will only worsen.

Cheers for tonight.
